[Teaser] The DubTalk ft. Breezy

For the first time ever, The DubTalk will be on video! Season Three will bring you closer to the weirdness going down in the K12 studio than ever before. Stay tuned for the release. If you’re curious about Breezy, find everything you need to know on her website.

The DubTalk ft. Pourtr8s

Pourtr8s had some BAAARS to drop when he came into the K12. This Irish MC is the reason that Lexodus started to freestyle, and he came into the place fiery and ready to do just that. Pourtr8s prides himself on his ability to speak straight from the heart, and he uses hip hop to spread his message, which is one of acceptance and understanding. Growing up, he felt a deep connection with the ability of rappers to tap into the struggle of inner city ghettos, so he started freestyling at a young age to become a part of the culture. Amidst the savage freestyling, we got seriously in depth on the topic of hip hop and the kind of musical culture that we want to foster and cultivate in our lives. From swag rap to conscious rap, underground to main stream, we discussed the impact an MC can have and...

The DubTalk ft. FRASE pt. 2

From the moment Knockout Knob and Elpenor heard FRASE’s vocal texture breeze through the little box they’d set him up on, we knew we had to talk to him. He is everything we admire in an artist. He’s hardworking, dedicated, and more importantly genuine. Episode seven starts with a rough track idea that FRASE had been working on at the time called “White Cone”. We spent 12 minutes composing and recording what ended up being a soultastic jam that leads into a seventh episode full of insight from FRASE about musicianship, travelling, and what it means to be on tour and not have a true “home”. You won’t want to miss this double whammy. You can find FRASE on his website or on the Facetyfacespace.

The DubTalk ft. FRASE pt. 1

FRASE didn’t have any original songs that he wanted to perform, because we all ended getting so deep into the vibe of our jam. It was hard to remember that we were supposed to be interviewing the guy and not just making beautiful music with him. As a result, we recorded for over three hours and had so much material that we couldn’t just give FRASE a single episode. In episode six, we highlighted the music that we produced in the short three hours with FRASE. Episode seven starts with a rough track idea that FRASE had been working on at the time called “White Cone”. The DubTalk ft. A\D|S/R

Since the original release of this episode last year, A\D|S/R has not had very much time for sharing his sounds with the world, because he became a father at the start of 2017. But now that he’s getting the hang of it, he’s managed to get some projects off of the ground. He’s working on an album, and recently started shooting a music video for one of its tracks. You can find him on Facebook if you’re digging the sounds and hungry for more.
